ECC (the repo formerly named everything-claude-code; GitHub now redirects that path to affaan-m/ECC) is a very large, MIT-licensed Claude Code plugin. It installs a full engineering workflow in one go: 71 agents, 311 skills, 97 legacy command shims, hooks, memory and the AgentShield scanner for your agent config.
Checked 24 Oct 2026 against the repo README and marketplace.json (version 2.2.3).
Who it is for
Developers who want a complete, opinionated harness setup in one install and are willing to prune it, rather than assembling plugins one by one.
Install
Inside Claude Code, from the README:
/plugin marketplace add https://github.com/affaan-m/ECC
/plugin install ecc@ecc
Pick one install path per harness. Add rule packs separately, since plugins cannot ship rules.
What it does
The README suggests starting from the task, not the catalog:
- Building a feature:
/ecc:plan "describe the feature", then thetdd-workflowskill. - Reviewing new code:
/code-reviewfor a fresh-context review. - Repairing a build:
/build-fix. - Checking context pressure:
/context-budget. - Ending and resuming sessions:
/save-sessionand/resume-session. - Auditing agent config:
/security-scanoragentshield scan --path ..
A low-context path without runtime hooks is available through npx ecc-universal@2.2.3 install --profile minimal --target claude.
Pros
- One install covers planning, TDD, review, memory and config security.
- Actively maintained and very widely adopted.
- Also works with Codex, Qoder and other harnesses.
Cons and caveats
- Huge surface area: many agents and skills add context overhead and overlap with plugins you may already use.
- Install paths are easy to mix up, and stacking them causes duplicates.
- The README warns to install only from official sources, as unofficial mirrors may contain malware.

Frequently asked questions
What is the plugin name to install?
ecc@ecc. The README explains the short identifier keeps tool names and command namespaces short. The npm package is named ecc-universal, which is a separate install path.
Can I install it twice to be safe?
No. The README warns against stacking install methods in one harness, such as the plugin plus a full manual install, because skills, commands and hooks get duplicated.
Does the plugin install rules?
No. Claude Code plugins cannot distribute rules, so the README tells you to copy only the rule packs you want, such as rules/common plus one language pack, into ~/.claude/rules/ecc.
Is there a paid version?
The repo is MIT licensed. ECC Pro is a separate hosted GitHub App; the README lists private repo pricing from $19 per seat per month on ecc.tools.
