code-review is an Anthropic plugin that adds a /code-review command to Claude Code. It reviews the current pull request with several agents in parallel, scores every issue for confidence and posts a single GitHub comment with only the high-confidence findings.

Checked 24 Oct 2026 against the plugin’s README, command file and marketplace.json.

Who it is for

Teams that open pull requests on GitHub and want a first-pass review that respects their CLAUDE.md rules without flooding the PR with nitpicks.

Install

/plugin install code-review@claude-plugins-official

Then, on a PR branch:

/code-review

You need the GitHub CLI installed and signed in (gh auth login). See the plugins guide for scopes and enabling.

What it does

  • Skips PRs that are closed, drafts, trivial or already reviewed.
  • Collects the relevant CLAUDE.md files and summarizes the change.
  • Runs parallel review agents for CLAUDE.md compliance, obvious bugs and git blame history. The README describes four agents; the current command file launches five, adding checks against earlier PR comments and code comments.
  • Scores each issue from 0 to 100 and drops anything below 80.
  • Posts one comment with links to the exact lines, using full commit SHAs.

It deliberately ignores pre-existing issues, pedantic nitpicks and anything a linter or type checker would catch.

Pros

  • Confidence filtering keeps the signal high.
  • Uses your own CLAUDE.md as the review standard.
  • Easy to tune: the threshold and agent tasks live in one Markdown command file.

Cons and caveats

  • GitHub only, through gh.
  • Several agents per run means more token use on large PRs.
  • It is a starting point for human review, not a replacement. It does not run builds or tests.

Frequently asked questions

What does the 80 threshold mean?

Each issue gets a confidence score from 0 to 100. Issues scoring below 80 are dropped, and if nothing reaches 80 the plugin posts no comment at all.

What do I need installed?

A git repository with a GitHub remote and the GitHub CLI (gh) installed and authenticated. CLAUDE.md files are optional but improve guideline checks.

Will it review draft or closed PRs?

No. The command first checks whether the PR is closed, a draft, trivial or already reviewed, and stops if so.

Can I change the threshold?

Yes. The README says to edit commands/code-review.md and change the line that filters out issues scoring less than 80.
